As an Accutics Standardize and Validate customer it is now possible to set up and enable naming validations for the extension which will allow real time validation within relevant ad platforms. At the moment the platforms supported are Facebook Business Manager, TikTok Ad Manager and SnapChat.
Note: Using this feature may come at additional cost, please reach out to your Account Manager before activating this feature
Getting Started
As a project manager or admin, you first need to set up and enable your validation rules to be used within the Accutics browser extension.
Below are the steps needed to activate this for the end users.
Prerequisites
- You must have active Standardize and Validate projects
- The latest version of the Accutics browser extension
- At least one Standardize project outputting Namesets to be used in the downstream ad platforms
- The Naming Convention rules you wish to validate set up in your Validate project
To activate the validation rules so that they can be used within the extension, open your Validate project, and navigate to Settings section. You will then need to locate the Facebook, TikTok or SnapChat account you wish to activate the validations on and hit Edit.
Click on the Naming Convention rule you wish to activate. On the Configuration tab, you will need to scroll down to find the toggle to switch this on.
Once you have toggled the button on, hit Save and close on the top right of the page, and the validation rule will now be active to users who are logged in on the browser extension.
Note: End users do not need access to Validate in order for the validation to work. They only need to be signed in on the extension and have an active login to the Accutics account.
Now when a user is in a supported Ad Platform ads manager (in the below screenshot TikTok Ads Manager), when adding, editing or reviewing the table of relevant dimensions, if any are not found within Accutics the user will see the Accutics logo as well as orange lines under the incorrect campaign names. Hovering over the Accutics logo will also show a dialogue box to warn "This name should be created using Accutics". A similar warning along with changing of the button colour can be observed when in the creation workflow.
Compliant campaign names will appear as normal.
If the above warnings are ignored, the user will be reminded when they attempt to publish that the campaign names have not been validated, they will receive an additional warning when attempting to push the campaign name live.
